So here I am doing the one thing I told myself that I would never have the time, nor the extroversion, to do- I’m starting a blog. For the past 2 years, I have been focused on getting into physical therapy school to earn my doctorate and the time has finally come- I was accepted to Duke University’s DPT Program in Durham, NC and am headed there August 2017! One of the things I realized through my incredible journey these past few years of navigating graduate school, a mental illness diagnosis (more on this later), physical therapy school applications, work, and social and family life is that I could never quite find the appropriate resources online to guide me through.
That’s why I want to start this blog- to document my life before, during, and after being a Doctor of Physical Therapy student. Through Ease & Honor I’ll provide tips on getting shadowing hours, writing application essays, and nailing the interview. I’ll also share aspects of my life parallel to PT school, such as my views on health and wellness, quotes, food, and lots more! I hope that you’ll share in my laughs, nervous energy, and even tears as I get started on what I expect to be the most challenging and rewarding time of my life thus far.
Let’s get to it.
